Caterpillar Commercial Trucks-Caterpillar does not manufacture a commercial truck you would see driving down the road they do build a number of off road trucks used in heavy construction and mining. Caterpillar does however manufacture and supply heavy duty powerful engines for a number of commercial truck manufacturers. A few Caterpillar powered semi trucks you will find are Kenworth, Peterbilt, Western Star, and Sterling commercial semi trucks. While some truck manufacturers give the customer the option of engine types many of these commercial truck names come standard with the Caterpillar truck engine. Caterpillar engines are also found in commercial trucks such as the International 7500 and 7600 commercial dump trucks. The Freightliner M2106 commercial box van and the Ford F650 commercial box van trucks both run on CAT heavy duty engines. Most of the trucks mentioned here are manual commercial trucks but there are automatic commercial trucks available also. As well as engines, off road heavy duty work trucks, and a long list of heavy industry equipment Caterpillar also manufactures a wide range of power generators. These power producers can be found in such industries as mines, construction sites, oil rigs, schools, hospitals, and airports. The company that started back in 1890 with a bulldozer has diversified into a multitude of industries including the commercial truck industry.
