Heavy duty commercial trucks in Class 8 are the commercial trucks that weigh over 33,000 lbs. Examples of heavy duty semi trucks that fall into this class are the Freightliner FLC, the International 9400 Eagle, and the Volvo VN64T770. Just about all Kenworth and Peterbilt heavy duty trucks fall into class 8.
Class 7 heavy duty trucks are those commercial trucks that range in weight from 26,001-33,000 lbs. Heavy duty commercial trucks that fall in this class include the Isuzu NPR, the Mack R-Model, and the Sterling L7500. You can find both new and used heavy duty commercial trucks in this class.
